| Completely renovated in 2002, the four star Parador de Vielha offers one of the most spectacular views of the Valle d’Arán. Its location and the top notch facilities that are provided at this wonderful complex are only two of the reasons why guests prefer this hotel to others in the area. The Parador de Vielha is approximately 2 km away from the centre of the city. In addition to the snow covered mountains that surround the hotel during the winter there are also various other things to see and to do. In the summer months one can go hiking, trekking, biking or climbing. Golf courses are also situated in the area.    Spectacular panoramic views are also provided from the hotel’s 116 standard rooms and 2 suites. A tasteful design, a private bathroom with hairdryer, internet connection, telephone, satellite TV, safe and mini bar are offered. Rooms for guests with disabilities can be requested. Some of the plates offered at the in-house restaurant are “Civet de jabali” which is jugged wild boar that was caught in the mountains, “Olla aranesa” – a regional stew or “Platanos flambeados a la catalana” flambéed bananas in a Catalán style. After a delicious meal you could have a relaxing drink in the welcoming bar. Wonderful landscaped gardens in which pools, terraces, Jacuzzis and sun beds can be found, a fully equipped spa centre with treatments, gym, sauna and indoor pool as well as excellent meeting facilities are on offer. |
